‘Greetings from Utopia’ was shot in Los Angeles in February(2013). It features friends painted head to toe in color, and represents the love both Amanda and Jimmy have for the surreal dreaminess of LA.

No Wrong Answer Oreo videos

I directed a series of videos for Oreos new “No Wrong Answer” campaign (check out the entire series at superimportanttest.com). The premise is you go to the site and get asked which is better, the cookie or the creme, and then no matter which one you choose, the site plays a video that informs you that you chose right.

It’s a bizarre and satisfying feeling that the Kraft Corporation paid for some of my favorite/strangest work. What a world!

My first collaboration with Amanda Jasnowski, a series of portraits taken during a week of travelling through remote and surreal landscapes of southern California. The images were inspired by feelings of sunny devotion and imminent magic created by the excitement of new friendship and new places, and our desire to document those feelings we were feeling so strongly.

January 2013 / Joshua Tree National Park, Slab City, Catalina Islands.

i’m going to start posting some of my favorite videos i’ve been shooting on my iphone with the super8 app. so many dreamy moments i haven’t been able to share with anyone. they’ll all be unedited, and the sound is live from the moment.

the first video in the series is In the Clouds. I shot it while on an airplane.
